Cloud Chunky Knit - Candy Floss
Your MAKA piece is handmade with love from soft and luxurious un-spun 100% Aotearoa grown and processed wool which is what gives it it’s unique look and style. Wool is naturally odour-resistant due to its unique properties. It helps to prevent the build-up of sweat, bacteria and unpleasant smells. Therefore, your MAKA piece can go longer between washes than other wardrobe staples. When you are required to wash your MAKA piece, it requires special manaaki (care) to maintain its plush and unique look.
Please do not wash your MAKA piece in the washing machine. We recommend professional dry cleaners. If you have any small stains on your piece, we recommend spot cleaning the area using a damp cloth with cold or warm water using a patting method being careful not to rub your garment as it can result in the wool felting.
Like all woollen garments, pilling of your MAKA piece can occur after frequent wear. This is when fibre sheds and develops little woollen balls that stick to your piece. this can happen on the inside of your piece due to the friction against your clothes. We recommend using our wool comb (or similiar) to brush through your garment, which you can order through our website. We run this comb over our garment after each wear to keep it looking fresh and plush.
If your MAKA piece gets wet, dry flat in shade.
Avoid hanging your MAKA piece as it can put tension on the garment and cause it to stretch. We recommend putting it in the handy tote bag included with your MAKA piece for storage in between wears.
